 The forest can be a mean and nasty place, especially when you are being hunted there. Sarah knows this. Amanda, her sister, had known this. Targets of a devious roadside hijacking, they now find themselves victims of chase and torture — and murder.

But death is not the end.

Sarah makes a harrowing escape at dawn, only to be tracked down and thrust into renewed captivity. There are unlikely allies here. And when a rainstorm shootout leaves the local sheriff and Sarah’s would-be rescuer dead, Sarah must work with a killer to find the passage to safety . . . before the other killers close the doorway forever.
